A Canadian oil company with a subsidiary operating in Tunisia had growing concerns both about the security of the immediate vicinity of its field operations, which were in a remote area of the country close to the Libyan border, and also about the overall security situation in the country.
Tundra initially conducted an assessment to review the company’s current security arrangements along with its approach to risk and emergency management throughout the country. Following this a Tundra consultant was appointed as a Security Manager to oversee a series of procedural, policy and physical improvements over the course of a six month period.
At the conclusion of this period Tundra continued to provide a security management service until the company ceased operations in Tunisia as a result of commercial changes. During our period of engagement Tundra’s involvement significantly mitigated the likelihood of security incidents effecting the company’s operations, with associated return on investment benefits.
